Why this site exists
Search for snorkeling on Bonaire and the first four results are three tour operators describing their own boats and one long essay arguing the reef has declined. All four are useful. None of them lets you put the trips side by side and see which one includes the park fee.
That fee is the clearest example of why a comparison is worth writing. The STINAPA nature fee is $40 per person for a calendar year, and it applies the second you enter the sea. A number of guides still print the pre-2023 split of $45 for divers and $25 for snorkelers, which stopped existing three years ago. Only one trip in this catalogue carries the fee inside its ticket price. Putting that next to the price is the entire job of this site.
Where the facts come from
Tour prices, durations, ratings, review counts, inclusions, group limits and age restrictions are read off each operator's own listing on the date shown on the page, in US dollars, which is Bonaire's currency. Park fees, exemptions and enforcement are verified against STINAPA's own published information and official Bonaire tourism information, and dated where they appear. Marine park fee verified against official park information: August 2026. Traveller feedback reviewed: more than 2,200 published reviews across the booking platforms.
Where a listing contradicts itself or another listing for the same product, we say so rather than pick the more flattering version. Review quotes carry the reviewer's first name, country and month exactly as published, including the critical ones. We do not write testimonials.
What we do not do
We do not run tours, employ guides, own boats or hold a single reservation. Nobody from this site inspects a vessel, meets a crew or stands at a marina counting life vests, and nothing here is written as if they did.
We also do not publish a rating of our own. The ratings on this site belong to the booking platforms and are reproduced with the date they were read and the number of reviews behind them.
How the site earns
Through affiliate commissions on bookings made via the links here, at no extra cost to you: the price is the same as going to the platform directly. That arrangement is set out in full on the affiliate disclosure page.
It does not buy placement or wording. The cheapest trip in the catalogue, the $60 mangrove kayak, pays the smallest commission and is recommended outright to anyone with a nervous swimmer in the group. The most expensive one carries a warning about non-refundable cruise timing, taken from its own listing.
Corrections
Prices move, operators change boats and park rules get rewritten. If something here is out of date, tell us through the contact page and it will be checked against the listing and the park's own information, then re-dated.
For bookings, refunds, pickup times and anything that happens on the water, the operator and the booking platform named on your confirmation are who you need. Not us.
